EDIT : Well it looks like i made something like an article, but maybe you should read it. It's something about my experience. If you don't want to read, the short version of this text is :
"Battery is important.Find a laptop with a battery as much endurable as possible

You are just like me, you need a laptop because you will be far away home. Well your laptop is better than mine, but my laptop's battery can resist up to 6 hours, however yours can do 5 instead.

My advice to you is, you don't need to spend more money on some more stuffs in addition, your computer is pretty good already, but... the battery... I say it with my experience here in France far away from my country (Turkey), it's really important, i understood it's importance only after participating to the lessons.

I don't know how things work in Colleges, i have never been in a college, that doesn't exist in Turkey. Instead, we have high school for 4 years, then university for another 4 years. Let's say you are in a university, and you have 3 lessons tomorrow, and each lesson normally dures about 2 hours (in France it is, idk if it's the same in your country). And you are of course using your laptop to note down the important things, using winword as your notebook. At the end of the last lesson of the day, my computer had only twenty minutes left to go on sleep mode because it's battery was almost depleted. Because i also use the laptop to access to internet in the breaks, going to a small café with it's free internet, checking facebook, forums etc.

And now, imagine if you had more than 3 lessons in one day, how do i do ? I bring the brightness down to the lowest, close the internet, the bluetooth, other tiring stuffs for laptop like that, and i can still use my laptop to note the important things down even till the end of the 4th lesson.

And i do this with a battery with 6 hours as limit. Yours is 5 hours. If that was mine, it would be too hard for me to arrange all the stuffs like this.

Laptop for gaming ?
Ha ha...don't ever waste your money on a 'gaming' laptop which will cost a fuckload of money and will be shitty as hell.
Seriously..a Intel core I7 for Laptop will be even worse than a I5 in a PC.
Why? First thing..cooling. How kbvdo you want to get some ultra high power if there isn't even any place for cooling ? In PC's you have a huge ass radiator + some huge cooling fan. Where would you place it in a laptop which is like 5cm in size?
Second thing..power supply. How do you want to get enough power (about 450-500w in PC's) from a little black box without any cooling ?
Buy a shitty laptop for small price, and a good PC for games.
